clinical to corporate, in a fun and
interactive way! Drop by anytime between 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. and 1:00
p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Great River Health’s West Burlington campus
to speak with Great River Health employees of various roles.
Registration is not required for individual attendance, but it is strongly
encouraged for groups that will be attending, preferably by March 10th.

To register for an upcoming workshop, email students@greatriverhealth.org at least one week prior.
A chance for high school students to spend time with a Great River Health professional and learn about specific careers and responsibilities. To apply for job shadowing, students must apply by filling out this Job Shadow Form at least two weeks prior to the preferred job shadow date. Students who are selected will be notified.

Applications are due March 1, 2025, for the Auxiliary High School and Continuing Education Scholarships. Applications for the Kathleen Canella Family Scholarship are due April 1, 2025.

The Auxiliary High School Scholarship is for high school seniors living in the hospital’s service area pursuing healthcare careers.
The Auxiliary Continuing Education Scholarship is open to students who have completed their freshman year of college in a healthcare major and reside in the hospital’s service area.
The Kathleen Canella Family Scholarship is for seniors or recent graduates from Fort Madison High School, Central Lee High School, Holy Trinity High School, or Keokuk High School pursuing healthcare education, excluding medical school. Nontraditional students will also be considered.
The Tracey Howe Scholarship is for students pursuing certain healthcare careers at Southeastern Community College. Multiple scholarships are awarded and are available to public and private high school graduates from Des Moines and Lee County schools. Nontraditional students living in Des Moines and Lee Counties are also eligible. You may apply for this scholarship through the SCC Foundation.

If your college or university requires observation hours, hands-on clinical rotations, or internship experience, Great River Health is happy to help. Submit this form at least 30 days prior to the requested observation date and at least 60 days prior to the requested rotation or internship date(s). Please note that placement is not guaranteed.
