About Dr. Frank
Dr. Charles Frank is an academically fellowship-trained spine surgeon with a major interest in adult degenerative conditions, including a special interest in sciatica. Specializing in surgical interventions for the back, neck, and spine, Dr. Frank believes surgery should be considered only when conservative therapies prove ineffective. Surgical options are carefully tailored to each patient’s specific pain and anatomy. Degenerative changes in the spine can manifest in various ways, including back or neck pain, radiating pain and/or numbness in the arms or legs, and more severe issues such as balance problems or weakness. Recognizing the multitude of treatment options available for each patient's condition, Dr. Frank emphasizes a collaborative approach. When surgery is necessary, advanced surgical techniques such as CT image-guided stealth and robotic-assisted surgical options are employed to minimize the invasiveness of surgical intervention. While motion preservation at all segments is preferred whenever possible, a properly designed fusion construct can be highly successful for appropriate candidates. Dr. Frank believes in thoroughly explaining all options and individual pathways through a joint decision-making process, ensuring each patient has a clear understanding of their personalized treatment plan.
