Giving Greater Meaning to Life

Give back to your community in meaningful ways. Whether through financial contributions, donating your time, or signing up to become an organ donor, there are numerous ways you can partner with Great River Health to amplify your positive impact.

Donate

The philanthropic work of the Great River Health Foundation and Henry County Health Center Foundation help us connect to the communities we serve by partnering with local residents, organizations, and businesses to raise financial resources to support the continuing delivery of high-quality health care in Southeast Iowa.

Methods of Giving

  • Direct Gifts (cash, stock, securities)
  • Deferred Gifts (bequests, trusts)
  • Memorial/Commemorative Gifts
  • Gifts in Kind (jewelry, crops, notes)
  • Real Estate Gifts (homes, farms)
  • Corporate Gifts (cash, inventory)
  • Pledged Gifts (payroll deductions or fund-raising pledges)

All donations are automatically tax deductible under Section 170 (c) (2) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donors may specify that their contribution be directed toward a certain project or goal.

A member of the Foundation Board will be happy to meet with potential donors, or their designees, to discuss ways in which both the donor and the Foundation may benefit. Consultations with attorneys, accountants, bank trust officers or life insurance representatives may be arranged at the donor's request. Foundation Board Members can be contacted personally, or by calling or writing to the Foundation in care of Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center.

Register as an Organ Donor

Becoming the solution to a problem and perhaps saving 14 or more lives—how rewarding could that be? Seventeen people on the national waiting list die every day—6,200 each year—because an organ is not available for transplant. In 2002, 1,371 Donor Eyes were received, of which 870 corneas were provided for transplant, 298 corneas to Iowans alone. Click here to learn more.
